| COMPRESSED VS. UNCOMPRESSED |
Ever noticed how many of the movies we offer that are 160 minutes or longer in length are compressed? Unfortunately, compression sometimes results in audio/video quality that is less than optimal and such distortion is more evident when using a PC for viewing purposes.
AsianScreens is happy to announce that beginning with our 11/3/10 update, we will begin offering some titles in both compressed and uncompressed formats. Granted, a movie in uncompressed format will cost more than its compressed counterpart. For example, a movie on one uncompressed disc will cost $10.00 after discount as opposed to $8.00 for a compressed version. But with uncompressed movies, you will worry no more about audio/video quality being significantly affected. We hope you will enjoy our uncompressed offerings!
